Initiatives
The Center for Existential Resilience is grounded in the conviction that existential risk must be met not only with analysis, prevention, and alarm, but also with resilience: stronger inner lives, wiser institutions, regenerative ecosystems, more thoughtful philanthropy, and more durable forms of meaning, responsibility, and response.
The Center works across multiple scales of resilience — personal, attentional, organizational, ecological, spiritual, and existential — and explores how research, giving, strategy, and institution-building can support more resilient futures.
How initiatives work
The Center develops and supports selected initiatives connected to existential resilience, public life, ecological response, education, philanthropy, and culture.
Some initiatives take the form of focused projects, sponsored collaborations, public resources, research, or convenings. Others begin as early-stage ideas and develop through partnership and support.
This page highlights selected initiatives the Center is developing, supporting, or helping bring into clearer public life.

A note on the Center
The Center is sustained in part through advisory and consulting work with individuals and organizations, while also offering selected pro bono support to artists, founders, and nonprofits. Together, these help seed the Center’s wider development, including future public resources, research, educational offerings, and collaborations connected to existential resilience.
